Brown Men's Cross Country Takes Third Place at Iona Meet of Champions

The Brown men's cross country team placed third overall at the Iona Meet of Champions on Saturday Sept. 28. Brown finished with a total of 145 points. Iona finished first while Dartmouth took second place.

Sophomore Matt Emond came in first for the Bears at 25:19 with a 13th place finish overall. Sophomore Patrick Tarpy placed 20th overall with a time of 25:37. Junior Chad Buechel placed 34th overall with a time of 25:48. Also placing in the top 50 for Brown were juniors Jeff Tomlinson and Eric Churchhill, who finished 35th and 45th respectively.

Brown will be back in action on Friday Oct. 11 at the New England Championship held in Franklin Park, MA
