Men's Cross Country Takes Second at Stonehill College

Easton, MA - Marking the opening of the cross country season, the Bears competed today at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. at the Dana Boardman Invitational. With a limited squad racing, the men were able to take second place with a score of 38 behind home team Stonehill, who tallied 21. Three freshmen made their collegiate debuts.

Junior Tushar Gurjal (New York, NY) and freshman Jacob Nettleton (South Orange, NJ) finished top for Brown, taking fourth and fifth respectively with a shared time of 27:13. Following closely was another frosh, Ozzie Myers (Chittenango, NY) in sixth, clocking 27:18.

Junior Craig Fountain (Warwick, RI) was the fourth scoring position, taking eleventh in 27:42. Frosh Alex Enscoe (Berkeley, CA) crossed in twelfth at 28:04.

The men compete next at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday September 18.
