Brown Men Take Fourth At Heptagonal Championships

Hanover, NH - The Brown men's indoor track and field team took fourth at the 2006 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships in Hanover, NH on Sunday. The Bears finished with 88 points, including four individual titles. Cornell captured its third title in the last four years with 122 points. Princeton followed in second wih 102 points while Penn rounded out the top three with 98 points. Finishing behind the Bears was Yale in fifth with 66 points. Dartmouth, Harvard and Columbia took the final three spots, respetively.
Sophomore Paul Raymond won the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.85 seconds. In the 500 meters, senior Dallas Dissmore also took first place with a time of 1:02.55.
Senior Ray Bobrownicki became just the third athlete in Heps history to win three titles in the high jump with his leap of 7'0.5". Also earning an individual title was senior Jake Golenor in the shot put. His throw of 55.025" out-distanced the second place finished by nearly three feet.
The 4x400 meter relay team of junior Mike Pruzinsky, junior Christian Tabib, sophomore Luke Renick and Dissmore placed second with a time of 3:16.75. In the weight throw, freshman David Howard took second place with a throw of 56'11.25".
Earning a third place finish in the 400 meters was Pruzinksy with a time of 48.64. Sophomore Jamil McClintock also took third in the 60 meter hurdles, timing in at 8.07. Junior Grant Bowen placed third in the pole vault with a 16'0.75" clearance.
