Men's Track Ties For Second With Harvard

Cambridge, MA - The Brown men's track team took part in a tri-meet with Cornell and host Harvard on Saturday, tying the Crimson with 34 points on the day for second place. Freshman Ray Bobrownicki (Avondale, PA) placed first in the high jump, clearing 2.06 meters. Also placing first on the day for Brown was sophomore Daveed Diggs (El Cerrito, CA), who won the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.44.
Sophomore Patrick Tarpy (Yartmouth, ME) took second in the mile with a time of 4:10.93. Senior Chad Buechel (Upper St. Clair, PA) also took second in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.90. Other top finishers included senior Brad Bowery (Hamden, CT), who placed second in the pole vault, clearing 5.10 meters. Junior Aaron Salinger (Hamden, CT) took third in the pole vault clearing 4.65 meters. Freshman Jake Golenor (Redding, CA) took third in the shot put with a throw of 15.70 meters.
Brown continues action on Friday Feb. 7 at the Millrose Games in New York.
