CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Carly Paul (Fort Collins, Colo.) set a personal best and top-ten program mark to lead the Brown track & field teams at the USATF New England Indoor Championships Sunday on the campus of Harvard University.
Paul was first in the high jump with a personal-best cleared height of 5-08.00, tied for eighth all-time at Brown. Sophomore Uloma Nwaolu (Washington, D.C.) was runner-up in the event with a cleared height of 5-04.25.
Bridget van Dorsten (Westport, Conn.) captured first place in the triple jump with a winning leap of 37-03.75, while Nwaolu added another second-place mark at 36-06.25.
Junior Josie Natrasevschi (Fort Collins, Colo.) claimed first place in the weight throw with a toss of 49-11.25.
Zion Lewis (Canton, Ga.) and Alyssa Leto (Holbrook, N.Y.) went first and second in the 60 meters, respectively, in times of 7.80 and 7.93.
For the men's side, senior Taylor Alarcon (Wilmette, Ill.) was victorious in the triple jump with a winning leap of 48-04.00, while Evan Dombrowski (Gloucester, Mass.) was runner-up in the shot put at 48-03.25.
The Bears will compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships next weekend at The Armory in New York City.
