2013-14 Indoor: Competed in the weight throw at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, finishing in sixth with a personal best 57’ 0” … Placed first at the Alden Invitational in the weight throw with a toss of 54’ 11.25” … Finished second in the weight throw at the Brown University Invitational … Recorded another top-5 finish in weight throw at the Yale Collegiate Invitational, finishing second with a toss of 51’ 10”.

2012-13: Had a strong showing at the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships, finishing 10th in the discus and 12th in the hammer throw…Took eighth in shot put at the USATF New England Indoor Championships…Finished 14th in both shot put and weight throw at Indoor Heps

Before Brown: A graduate of Mount Tahoma High School, Phuong Truong lettered in basketball and track and field… A two-time Narrows League Scholar-Athlete Finalist and two-time recipient of the Coach’s Award… League Champion in both the discus and shot put, District 3 Shot Put Champion and Discus Runner-Up… Placed fourth in 2012 4A State Championship and was a state participant in 2011 for discus and shot put… Oregon Relays 2012 Discus Champion… Member of National Honor Society, Upward Bound, and Pierce County Youth United… Served as Class Senator and named Mr. Mount Tahoma as well as Gates Millennium Scholar… Winner of the Silver Varsity-Letter for Volunteering.
