Before Brown: A graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School, Mark McGurrin lettered in track and field and cross country… Served as captain of the cross country team in 2010 and led the squad to win the Section III Team Championship and also the NXN New York Team Championship… Was an All-Region (fourth), All-Central New York (second), All-State, and All-American Runner (seventh place nationally)… On the indoor track, McGurrin was named All-State in the 1600 meter and was the CNYCL American Champion in both the 1600 meters and the 1000 meters… A member of National Honor Society and Honor Roll… Editor in Chief of the Voices Literary Magazine and recipient of the English and Technology Awards.
