Eugene, OR- The Brown University men's Track & Field team sent five Bears to compete at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, and two just missed making the finals as the Bears ended the 2011 season.
Craig Kinsley led the Bears with his eighth place throw of 72-00m (236-2) in the senior division of the javelin throw to end his terrific four-year career with Brown.
Freshman Jeffrey Bush had a strong performance in the steeplechase earning ninth place with a time of 9:29.71 for the Bear, and freshman Matt Bevel finished in 12th place in the junior 800m run with a time of 1:53.17. Also, freshman Jonathan Diejuste earned 24th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.78m. Rounding out the competitors was freshman Colin Savage, who also ran a good race for Bruno earning ninth place in the 1500m with a3:56.91.
