Men’s Track & Field in Fifth After First Day of Heptagonal Championship

Princeton, NJ- The Brown University men's track & field team are currently in fifth place with 19 points after the first day of the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship at Princeton University.  Cornell sits in first (35), followed by Princeton (33), Dartmouth (28), Harvard (22), Brown, Yale (10) and Penn (8).

Leading the way for the Bears was junior Craig Kinsley with a first-place javelin throw of 228-10, and a second-place finish in the 10,000-meter run by senior Duriel Hardy (29:55.68).

Also giving a solid effort thus far was senior Brian Giese in the hammer throw.  He tossed a 190-04 to finish in sixth place.  Michael Bieszard earned seventh in the javelin throw with a mark of 168-09.
