Brown's Ivy League Champion men's tennis team had several players recogized on the annual All-Ivy Men's Tennis Team. Senior co-captain Nick Malone (Greystones, Ireland) earned first team All-Ivy singles honors, while the doubles team of junior co-captain Chris Drake (Needham, MA) and junior Justin Natale (Flushing, NY) also captured first team All-Ivy accolades. In addition, sophomore Jamie Cerretani (Reading, MA) was a second team All-Ivy singles selection.
Malone, who posted a 24-16 overall record and captured the Harvard Invitational in the fall, may ago down as one of the top players ever from his home country of Ireland. A first team All-Ivy singles and doubles selection last year, Malone was a member of Ireland's Davis Cup team that recently competed in Armenia, becoming the first player in Brown history to play Davis Cup tennis. Malone was an Academic All-Ivy selection last season when he was an NCAA qualifier in doubles with teammate Cerretani.
Natale and Drake were Brown's first doubles team throughout most of the season, posting a 20-6 overall record, including a 5-1 Ivy League mark. Cerretani played from first to third singles for the Bears and posted a 21-13 overall record, 4-3 against Ivy competition.
