Cerretani '04 Ranked #89 (Doubles) in the World

PROVIDENCE, RI - Several Brown men's tennis alums continue to make their mark on the professional ATP tour, with Jamie Cerretani '04 earning a career-high ranking of #89 in the world in doubles action. Adil Shamasdin '05 is also ranked, #961 in singles, and Justin Natale '03 is ranked #586 in singles and #864 in doubles. In addition, Chris Drake '03 had a doubles ranking of #92 last October, before retiring from the tour. He is currently an assist coach at Northwestern. All four were members of Brown's first-ever Ivy Championship team in 2002 and Shamasdin also helped to lead Brown to another title in 2005.
Cerretani broke into the top 100 in the world in doubles at #98 after winning 11 titles from April, 2005 to February, 2008. His most recent win came in Poland, and he has also claimed doubles titles in the US and South Africa, (both in 2005), China, Italy, and Australia (2006), and New Zealand, England, two in Greece, and France (2007). Earlier this month Cerretani climbed to #89 in the world, the 11th-highest ranked American on the tour, after advancing to the semi-finals of a main-draw ATP event in Zagreb.
