Oct. 3, 2005

FLUSHING, NY - In a rematch of last year's Ivy League Title clinching victory over Harvard, the Brown men's tennis team (3-0), seeded second in the ECAC Championship, advanced to Monday's finals, with a 4-3 victory over third-seeded Harvard in the semi-finals.

Senior Philip Charm (Concord, MA) and junior Dan Hanegby (Herzliva, Israel) posted an 8-4 win at #1, while junior Eric Thomas (Cincinnati, OH) and sophomore Saurabh Kohli (Colaba, Mumbai, India) earned an 8-6 victory at #2.

The two teams split the singles matches, 3-3, including three-set matches at the top three spots. Hanegby led off at #1 with a 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-3 win, while Charm posted a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win at #3. Kohli was Brown's other victor, winning 6-3, 6-3 at #4.
