Men's Tennis Beats Cornell, 5-2

Providence, Rhode Island - Brown's men's tennis team remained unbeaten in Ivy League play with a 5-2 victory over Cornell. The Bears are now 10-9 overall and 4-0 in the Ivy League.

The Bears swept the doubles point with the number one team of senior co-captain Nick Malone and freshman Adil Shamasdin winning, 8-2, the number two team of junior Chris Drake and sophomoreChris Goddard winning, 9-8, and the third doubles duo of sophomore Jamie Cerretani and freshman Nick Goldberg winning, 8-2.

In singles play, Malone easily disposed of Cornell, 7-6, 6-1, at number one, and Drake glided to a 6-1, 6-5 victory at number three. Shaamasdin came away with a 6-1, 7-5 decision at number four, while Goldberg battled to a 7-6, 6-2 victory at number five.
