#52 Bears Defeat #58 New Mexico, 6-1

Providence, RI - The no. 52 ranked Brown men's tennis team extended its record to 10-2 overall with a convincing 6-1 victory over no. 58 New Mexico at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Brown captured the doubles point despite a loss by its number one team of no. 9 ranked Jamie Cerretani and Adil Smasdin, 9-8.But Zack Pasanen and Kris Goddard teammed to win at second doubles, 8-6, and at number three, Nick Goldberg and Ben Brier earned an 8-3 victory.
Cerretani led the Bears at number one singles, winning 7-5, 6-2. The Bears also received wins by Goldberg at number two (6-4, 6-7, 6-1), Shamasdin at number three (6-4, 6-2), Eric Thomas at number five (6-1, 7-5) and Pasanen at number six (4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (5)).
