Brown Men's Tennis Dominates Hofstra, 7-0

Providence, RI - The Brown men's tennis team continued its strong play with a solid 7-0 victory over Hofstra at the Pizzitola Sports Center Sunday afternoon. The win lifts the Bears to an 8-2 record.

Brown cruised to the double point with seniors Jamie Cerretani and Ben Brier winning 8-2 at number one; junior Nick Goldberg and junior Adil Shamasdin capturing an 8-1 decision at number two and sophomore Phil Charm and senior Kris Goddard taking an 8-3 decision at number three.

The Bears captured all six singles matches with junior Nick Goldberg victorious at number one, 6-1, 6-3. Also winning for the Bears at numbers two through six included Jamie Cerretani (6-1, 6-0), sophomore Zack Pasanen (6-0, 6-0); Charm (6-2, 6-4); freshman Eric Thomas (6-0, 6-1), and Goddard (6-1, 6-1).

The Bears will be back in action on Tuesday against Western Michigan. The match will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
