Bears Fall to #28 Wake Forest, 5-2

WINSTON SALEM, NC - The Brown men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to #28 Wake Forest on Sunday, February 20th, falling to 8-3 on the season. The Bears won the doubles point, but could only muster one win in singles action for the final, 5-2.

In doubles action, the duo of sophomore Eric Thomas (Cincinnati, OH) and freshman Saurabh Kohli (Colaba, Mumbai, India) led the way with an 8-5 win at #2. Junior Richard Moss (Johannesburg, South Africa) and senior Nicholas Goldberg (Albuquerque, NM) earned the other victory for Brown, winning at #3, 9-7.

In singles action, senior Adil Shamasdin (Pickering, ONT) picked up the lone Brown win, posting a 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7) victory at #2.

Brown continues action February 22, when it travels to Blacksburg, VA to take on Virginia Tech.
