On the doubles court, he has proven to be an important asset for the Bears. In his first year, he teamed up with Chris Lee '09 to go 4-2 at 3rd doubles in the Ivy League and he picked up 18 doubles wins overall. This year, Posner has continued to improve on the doubles court. After he and Lee beat the region's #1 ranked team from Harvard, he teamed with Jon Pearlman '10 and advanced to the rd. of 16 at the ITA Regional tournament. Posner looks to continue to bring the energy and make an impact as the Bears push toward the Ivy season this spring.
Posner comes to the Bears from Cambridge, Massachusetts and went to high school at Milton Academy. He played out of the infamous Weymouth Tennis Club and enjoyed a great junior career. Posner was ranked in the top 5 in the New England Section and was in the top 150 in the nation. He won back-to-back Boston Globe All-Scholastic Awards for tennis his junior and senior years of high school. At Brown, he currently holds a 3.85 grade point average and is majoring in political science with a focus on American politics.
Charlie's hobbies include swim workouts and skateboarding. He has also been playing jazz piano for nine years. He always relishes a good discussion, whether it is about current events and politics or the latest electro-pop music.
Posner comes from a long line of Brown graduates, including his two parents Josh Posner and Eileen Rudden. He has two older brothers, Sam and Joe, who also graduated from Brown. His parents currently reside in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and his brothers both live in Brooklyn, New York.
