Men's Tennis Ousted by Dartmouth, 4-3

HANOVER, N.H. – The Brown men's tennis team battled hard against No. 41 Dartmouth on Sunday before ultimately dropping a 4-3 decision to the Big Green at the Thompson Outdoor Courts.  The Bears drop to 10-12 overall and 0-6 in Ivy play while Dartmouth improves to 17-5 (4-1 Ivy).

After the Big Green opened the match by claiming the doubles point, Brown got victories in slots 3-5 to knot the match at three.  Brandon Burke outlasted Cameron Ghorbani, 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 while Daniel Hirschberg cruised past Brandon DeBot, 6-4, 6-1.  Brown also scored a win from Lucas Da Silveira, as he edged Diego Pedraza, 6-0, 2-6, 6-4 in the No. 5 singles slot.

With the match coming down to a battle between William Spector and Chris Kipouras, the Big Green managed to sneak past the Bears as Kipouras clipped Spector in a marathon match, 3-6, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (3).

Brown concludes its season next Saturday as they host a matinee contest against Yale beginning at 1 p.m.
