PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown men's tennis team (10-12, 0-3) dropped a 6-1 decision to #45 Columbia (14-3, 4-0) on Friday afternoon at the Pizzitola Center Courts. The Lions swept the doubles point and never looked back, building a 5-0 lead, before junior Charlie Posner (Cambridge, MA) earned a 6-2, 7-6 (2) win at the #5 singles position to get the Bears on the board.

Despite the final score, Brown had chances to win the match, as senior Nathaniel Gorham (Los Altos Hills, CA) and junior Kendrick Au (St. John's, NF) both stretched their matches to three sets at #1 and #2, respectively. Freshman Mike Hill (Topsham, ME) also dropped a tough three-set match at #4, while freshman Luciano Musella (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) nearly pushed his match at #6 to three sets, falling in the second set, 7-6 (1).

Brown returns to action tomorrow afternoon when it hosts Cornell in a 2:00 p.m. match.
