|High School:||Walt Whitman|
Tim Klanke joins the Brown tennis team after graduating from Walt Whitman High School in Maryland in 2009. Tim ended his junior career as a Maryland Regional and State Champion. He recently reached the round of 16 at a National Open.
The most influential person in his life has been Steve Miguel, his junior coach, because of the work he did to make Tim the best tennis player at Four Star Academy.
Tim’s major goal as a freshman is to help the team win an Ivy League Championship. He says he chose to come to Brown because of the atmosphere and the team. If Tim didn’t play tennis, he thinks he’d be a golfer. His favorite place to visit is the beach.
Tim is the son of Bill and Mary Ann Klanke. He has one brother, Spencer.
