Men's Swimming & Diving Falls To Princeton, 210-83

PRINCETON, NJ - The Brown men's swimming and diving team fell to 1-2 on the season with a 210-83 loss at Princeton on Sunday afternoon.
Junior Jefferson Moors (Novi, MI) led the way for the Bears, grabbing first place in the 200 Free (1:39.79) and second place in the 200 Back (1:49.26). In addition, he was a part of the third place 200 Medley Relay team (1:34.93) and the winning 400 Free Relay team (3:07.53).
Also swimming on the 200 Medley Relay team were juniors Brian Wood (Ridgefield, CT) and Aron Gyuris (Thousand Oaks, CA) and sophomore Matt Zimmerman (Greensboro, CA), while Gyuris, Zimmerman, and sophomore Timothy Wang (South Pasadena, CA) were part of the 400 Free Relay team.
Wang swam to a third place finish in the 100 Free (:46.73) to help lead the Bears, while sophomore Andrew Sharpin (Newton, MA) took third in the 500 Free (4:51.23).
The Bears swept the 200 IM with freshman Eric Brumberg (Sewell, NJ) winning the event in a time of 1:56.90. He was followed by sophomores Carlton Cronin (Haverhill, MA), who finished in a time of 2:00.53, and Matt DelMastro (Whitby, ONT), who swam in a time of 2:02.82.
In diving action, freshman Tim Warburton (Islip, NY) took second on the 1-Meter (262.72) and fourth on the 3-Meter (257.33).
The Bears continue action on Sunday, January 5, 2003, when they swim against Penn State in Naples, Florida.
