Men's Swimming & Diving Falls to Cornell, 141-102

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown men's swimming and diving team fell to 2-7 on the season with a 141-102 loss to visiting Cornell on Saturday afternoon at the Smith Swim Center.
The Bears won six of the 13 events on the day, starting off with a victory in the 400 medley relay (3:27.67). Brown also won the 400 free relay (3:08.00) as it claimed both of the relay events.
Individually, junior Jefferson Moors (Novi, MI) grabbed first in the 200 free (1:43.00), while junior Aron Gyuris took first in the 50 free (21.49). In the 200 IM, it was freshman Eric Brumberg (Sewell, NJ) winning for the Bears (1:54.88), while sophomore Tim Wang (South Pasadena, CA) won the 100 free in a time of 47.40.
In diving action, freshman Tim Warburton (Islip, NY) took second on the 1-Meter with a 246.9 and third on the 3-Meter with a 220.5.
Brown continues action on March 6-8 when the Bears will take part in the 2003 EISL Swimming and Diving Championships to be help at the Nassau Aquatics Center on Long Island.
