NEW YORK, NY - The Brown men's swimming and diving team (1-5, 1-4) dropped a 186-112 decision to Columbia on Saturday afternoon in New York. The Bears won six events on the day and were led by senior Daniel Ricketts (Baltimore, MD), who picked up three individual wins.

Junior CJ Kambe (Unionville, CT) started things off by taking second in the 3-Meter dive with a score of 263.48, while freshman Jonathan Feldman (Avon, CT) was third with a score of 254.03.

The Bears' 200 Medley Relay team of junior Zack Levko (Wildwood, MO), sophomore Conor Carlucci (New City, NY), senior Richard Alexander (Victoria, BC), and senior Benjamin Zlotoff (Woodbridge, CT) earned second in the first swimming event, posting a time of 1:35.41.

Sophomore Sam Speroni (Sandwich, MA) picked up Brown's first win, earning a time of 10:20.32 in the 1000 Free, while Ricketts followed with Brown's second win of the day, posting a time of 1:41.64 in the 200 Free. Junior JD Pinto (Greenwich, CT) led Brown in the 100 Back, earning second with a time of 53.44, while Carlucci placed third in the 100 Breast with a time of 58.63 to lead the Bears in that event.

Alexander was Brown's top finisher in the 200 Fly, placing fourth with a time of 1:55.13, while Zlotoff led Brown in the 50 Free, placing third with a time of 21.69.

Kambe led the Bears on the 1-Meter boards, winning the event with a score of 282.75.

Ricketts picked up his second victory of the day in the next event, clocking in at 45.33 in the 100 Free. Alexander led Brown in the 200 Back, earning a time of 1:56.02 to place fifth, while Carlucci placed fifth in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:13.70 to lead the Bears in that event.

Sophomore Ryan Kikuchi (Temecula, CA) earned another win for the Bears, posting a time of 4:40.48 in the 500 Free, while Ricketts picked up his third victory of the day in the 100 Fly with a time of 50.68 to lead Brown in that event.

The Bears took second in the final two events, as Kikuchi posted a time of 1:54.91 in the 200 IM and the 400 Free Relay team of Zlotoff, junior Trent Huxley (Bellevue, WA), Alexander, and Ricketts earned a time of 3:08.39 to close out the meet.
