Channing Kimball joined the Brown swimming and diving staff asthe diving coach in September of 2010. Kimball comes to CollegeHill after spending three years as a diving coach at Alma Collegein Alma, Michigan.
In her three years at Brown, Kimball has led the Bears topersonal best scores and higher conference finishes on the boards.She coached diver Jon Feldman to a 7th place finish onthe 1-meter board at the 2011 Ivy League Championship, as well as a9th place finish on the 1-meter board at the 2012 IvyLeague Championship. Feldman also competed in the NCAA Zone A Meetduring both of those seasons, finishing in14th place onthe 1-meter in 2011.
During her time at Alma College, Kimball coached the 2010 MIAAchampion in the men’s 1-meter and 3-meter events, as well asthe 2010 MIAA 3rd place finisher in the women’s3-meter. She also took both of these divers to the 2010 NCAADivision III NCAA meet in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where theyfinished in the top 16 on both boards and were awarded All-Americanhonors.
Kimball was a four-year letter winner at the University ofWyoming, graduating with a B.S. in Business Management in 2004, andserved as captain of the swimming and diving team during her juniorand senior seasons. In 2003, she received the program’s MostInspirational Award and was named the Mountain West ConferenceDiver of the Week in January. Kimball was named an AcademicAll-American from 2001-2004 and also served on the Student-AthleteAdvisory Committee throughout her college career.
Kimball's experience extends beyond collegiate coaching, as shehas also served as a diving coach at the Longhorns Diving Camp forthe past three summers, as well as the Army Diving Camp in 2011 and2012. In May of 2011, she traveled to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as aTeam Leader with USA Diving. Currently, Kimball is completing herMasters Degree in Coaching Education from Ohio University.
