INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Brown junior Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, NJ) competed this morning in the second day of competition at the 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, held at the historic IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University. Glenn represented the Bears in the 100 butterfly, an event in which he won the Ivy League title this year with a time of 45.80, a new school record. Today he swam a solid time of 46.72, good for 17th place in the morning preliminary session and just one spot shy of earning a berth in finals tonight. He was also the highest Ivy League finisher in the event, improving significantly on his 26th place finish at last year's championship.
Glenn, a two-time qualifier for the sport's collegiate national championship, will resume competition tomorrow morning when he swims in the prelims of the 200 butterfly, an event that he finished 13th in during the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships.
