Men's Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships Begin at Brown on Thursday

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND – The Brown men's swimming and diving team welcomes the seven other Ivy League schools to the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center tomorrow, as competition begins in the 2013 Ivy League Men's Swimming & Diving Championships. This marks the first time that the event will be held in the new, state-of-the-art facility on the campus of Brown University.

The meet will run from Thursday, March 7 to Saturday, March 9, and action each morning starts at 11:00am with the preliminary heats of the day's events. The finals session will begin each evening at 6:00pm.

Near capacity crowds are expected for each of the three days of competition. However, limited seating remains, as does space for standing-room-only viewers. Additionally, it is important for those visiting the facility to note that with Brown hosting the first round of the ECAC Hockey playoffs, as well as two home basketball games on Friday and Saturday, parking will be limited. Parking on the streets aroud the facility will be available throughout the competition. The parking lot behind the athletic complex will also be open for all three evening sessions, as well as for Saturday morning's preliminary heats.

Fans who will not be making the trip to Providence for the event can follow the action live from home. For the first time, IvyLeagueSports.com will provide free live video coverage of the championship's night sessions, and live results will be available for all of the meet's events. The links to both can be accessed through the men's swimming and diving schedule page on brownbears.com, or through the Ivy League championship central page, available here.

Additionally, live results for the meet will be available through the Active Network's Meet Mobile application, available as a free download from either iTunes or Google Play. The app provides fans with the ability to view real-time results and splits, as well as heat sheets, final results and team scores, and can be downloaded by accessing the live stats link on the women's swimming and diving schedule page.

Finally, a full recap of Brown's performances throughout each day of the competition will be posted on brownbears.com at the conclusion of each evening's finals session.
