Glenn Honored As College Swimming’s Breakout Performer
The 2011-12 College Swimming & Diving Honors have been announced by a panel of college coaches, athletes and sports administrators. In all, fifteen athletes, teams and coaches were recognized for their outstanding performances during the 2011-12 collegiate swimming & diving season. After qualifying for the NCAA Championship and earning All-American distincition, Brown sophomore swimmer Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, N.J.) was named the male Breakout Swimmer of the Year.

Brown Swimming & Diving Presents Team Awards at Annual Banquet
The Men’s Swimming and Diving Team celebrated their 2011-2012 season with a banquet on April 21, 2012. The athletes, coaches, and special guests honored the team’s hard work and season accomplishments with the presentation of varsity letters and team awards while they enjoyed dinner at the Brown Faculty Club.

Glenn Earns All-America Honors at NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships
Sophomore swimmer Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, N.J.) represented Brown well at the 2012 NCAA Division I Championships, competing in both the 100 and 200 butterfly events. Glenn advanced to the B Finals in the 200 fly and finished 13th overall with a time of 144.60 to earn All-America Honorable Mention honors.

Glenn Set to Represent Brown at NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships
Sophomore swimmer Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, N.J.) is headed to Seattle, Wash., for the 2012 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships after his impressive performances at the Ivy League Championships. Glenn will compete in both the 100 and 200 Butterfly events.

Feldman Places 15th Overall at NCAA Zone Diving Meet
At the 2012 NCAA Zone A Meet at University at Buffalo on March 9-11, Brown senior Jon Feldman finished his collegiate diving career at the meet. Feldman advanced to the after the preliminary rounds and finished 15th overall at the meet.

Glenn’s Ivy-Best Performance Leads Bears at League Championship
The Brown men’s swimming & diving team finished in seventh overall at the 2012 Ivy League Championship, highlighted by several university records and two All-Ivy Finishers. Sophomore Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, N.J.) led the way for Brown winning both the 100 and 200 Butterfly, earning dual First-Team All-Ivy honors. The Bears dominated the 100 fly, taking a 1-2 finish in the event as rookie Jeffrey Strausser (Lafayette, Calif.) was just over a second behind Glenn’s pace.

Glenn & Strausser Finish 1-2 in 100 Butterfly at Ivy League Championships
Brown sophomore Tommy Glenn (Haddonfield, N.J.) raced to a convincing first-place finish in the 100 Butterfly last night, setting a school record with a 46.73 at the 2012 Ivy League Championships. The previous record was held by Daniel Ricketts (47.04). Freshman Jeffrey Strausser (Lafayette, Calif.) finished strong with a time of 47.86 and placed second behind Glenn in a tightly contested event. Both times were NCAA "B" cuts, with Glenn's time ranking him in the top 20 nationally.

The Brown women’s swimming & diving team picked up their first win over Yale in several years on Saturday, topping the Bulldogs 151-149, but men’s team could not overcome a strong meet by the Elis, falling, 180-120.

Brown Tops Ivy League Foe Cornell, 155-145
The Brown men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams were in action on Saturday, taking on Cornell. The men’s squad put up a strong performance, posting a 155-145 win over the Big Red, while the women were topped 169-131.

Bears Fall to Boston University and Columbia
Both the men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams were in action on Saturday, taking on Ivy League foe Columbia and Boston University. The Brown women picked up a victory over BU, 160.00-140.00, but were topped by Columbia, 182.00-118.00. The Brown men fell to Columbia, 190.50-106.50 and were edged by Boston University, 162.50-135.50.

The Brown men’s swimming & diving team returned to the Northeast after its training camp down in N. Miami, Fla., to take on Harvard on Thursday. The Crimson showed their speed at their home pool, and while several Bears put up impressive performances, Harvard took the meet, 206-80

Brown Swimming & Diving Takes on FAU & Penn
The Brown men’s & women’s swimming & diving teams have been in N. Miami, Fla., since Monday for winter training, but took a break on Wednesday to compete against Ivy League-rival Penn and FAU in dual meets. Brown won several events with all three schools competing together, but were edged by both FAU and Penn.

Brown Swimming & Diving Finishes Third at Princeton Invitational
Both the men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams finished third overall at the annual Princeton Invitational this weekend. The host Tigers took first place for the men and women, while Rutgers finished second on the women’s side and Columbia second for the men. The Bears also competed against James Madison, Villanova, Rider, Virginia, The Military Academy and Drexel.

Brown Falls at Dartmouth in First Meet of the Year
The Brown swimming & diving team opened its season on Saturday at Dartmouth, and despite some impressive individual performances, including a new pool record, the Bears were edged 184-111 (men) and 172-123.

Temujin Gold Joins Brown Swimming & Diving Staff
Providence, RI- Temujin Gold joined the Brown University swimming & diving staff as an assistant coach in August of 2011. Gold comes to Brown with a strong and varied swimming background at both the club and collegiate levels.
