Providence, RI - The Brown men's squash team had a very solid performance against a strong Tufts squad at the Pizzitola on Wednesday, earning a 7-2 victory over the Jumbos.
The team's outstanding performance was from Co-Captain Daniel Petrie at #1, who outlasted a talented Tufts opponent. In a match that took close to 2 hours, Petrie's patience and perseverance saw him win 10-8 in the fifth (in a match that had four games go to tiebreakers) to complete a gutsy and determined performance and celebrate his last home match with a memorable win.
Other solid performances came from Edward Cerullo at #2, Adam Greenberg at #3, North Whipple at #4, Co-Captain Patrick Haynes at #5, Alex Heitzmann at #8 and Brett Camarda at #9 - playing his best squash of the season.
Next up for the Bears is Yale at Noon at Yale on Saturday and then Cornell on Sunday at 10am at Cornell. A pivotal match for the season!
