Davies Earns Ivy League Player of the Week and College Soccer News honors

Providence, RI - For the second time this season, senior forward Kevin Davies (Port Washington, NY) received Ivy League Player of the Week honors, and also earned a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
Davies turned in two outstanding performances this week, as he scored the Bears' game-winning goal in Bruno's 2-0 victory over Rutgers on Oct. 31, and also in Brown's 2-0 win over Yale on Sunday.
Against the Scarlet Knights, Davies scored at the 53:21 mark after a breakaway at midfield. He blasted one past Rutgers' goalkeeper to put the score at 1-0. In the final 30 seconds of the game, Davies also tallied an assist after crossing the ball to rookie teammate David Walls (West Yorkshire, England) to secure the victory.
Davies started Brown's offense again on Sunday, when he scored 15 minutes into the second half against the Bulldogs. Davies put one in with his head after a cross from junior Darren Howerton (Northboro, MA).
Also for the second time this season, Davies earned a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. His offensive efforts this season has helped Brown to a 13-1-1 overall record with a 5-0-0 mark in the Ivy League. Davies now has 10 goals, three assists and 23 points on the season.
Brown will host its final home game of the 2007 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 4:00 p.m. against Dartmouth. Brown will honor its four seniors prior to kick-off.
