Brown senior forward Adom Crew (Columbia, MD) was named a District I Verizon First Team Academic All-American in men's soccer as selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). This marks the second consecutive year Crew has earned the honor. The captain leads Brown and the Ivy League with eight goals and two assists for 18 points while maintaining a 3.24 grade point average, concentrating in economics.
Crew has helped lead the Bears to a 9-3-1 overall and 5-0 Ivy mark this season after missing the latter half of the 2002 season with an injury. The 6-2 forward currently ranks 13th on Brown's all-time scoring list with 56 career points on 23 goals and 10 assists in 57 games.
This Saturday, Brown can capture the Ivy League Title with a win or tie at Yale. The Bears have been dominant in the Ivy League, having won six of the last nine titles. The Bears will be chasing their 17th title overall in New Haven beginning at 4 p.m.
