Romaneiro Named Second Team District I CoSIDA Academic All-American

Senior midfielder Marcos Romaneiro was named a Second Team District I Academic All-American in men's soccer as selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). Romaneiro, concentrating in Business Economics, leads the Bears in scoring this season with three goals and seven assists for 13 points. His seven assists rank 20th in the nation and first in the Ivy League.

A 2003 Academic All-Ivy selection, Romaneiro has tallied a point in five of Brown's last seven games. He was a Second Team All-Ivy and All-New England selection last season. Romaneiro was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after leading the Bears to a 3-2 win over Columbia on Oct. 2, scoring a goal and adding two assists. For his career he has racked up eight goals and 13 assists for 29 points in 59 games.
