Brown junior Marcos Romaneiro (North Brunswick, NJ) was named the Ivy League men's soccer Player of the Week after leading #20 Brown to a 3-0 shutout victory over Harvard on Saturday, Oct. 18. Romaneiro tallied two goals in the win, including the game-winner. He is second for Brown with five goals and four assists for 14 points and is tied for the league lead in assists.
The Bears gained sole possession of first place in the Ivy League with the win at Harvard, improving to 3-0 in Ivy play and 7-3-1 overall. Brown will play Fairfield tomorrow night, Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Fairfield, CT at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 25, the Bears will travel to Ithaca, NY to take on Cornell, which holds the second place spot in the league. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
