CAMBRIDGE, MA - The men's soccer team earned a share of their second consecutive Ivy League title with a 3-0 victory over Harvard on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears (7-7-2, 5-1-1 Ivy) will share the Ivy Championship with Princeton, who also finished at 5-1-1 in league play. Princeton earns the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament as the Tigers defeated the Bears 3-0 in head to head action earlier this season.

Sophomore Derrick Woodard (Blacklick, OH) got the Bears on the board at 6:30 of the first half as he hit a shot into the corner of the net to give Brown a 1-0 lead. Assisting on the goal was senior Pablo Quintanilla (Ballwin, MO). Freshman Jeff Larentowicz (West Chester, PA) then took advantage of an open net at 17:18 to put the Bears on top 2-0.

Brown scored its third goal of the game seven minutes into the second half as Edu (North Brunswick, NJ) scored on assists from junior Evan Ryan (Guilford, CT) and sophomore Matt Goldman (Knoxville, TN). Edu also tallied an assist on the afternoon.

Freshman goalkeeper David Mahoney (Wellesley, MA) earned his second career collegiate shutout by making six saves in net for the Bears.

Brown finishes the regular season with an overall record of 7-7-2 and will now await the announcement of the NCAA Tournament field on Monday, November, 19 at 3:00 p.m.
