PROVIDENCE, RI - Senior Adrian Rapp (Sausalito, CA) scored with just over ten minutes remaining in the game to give the Brown Bears (4-6-2, 2-1-1 Ivy) a hard fought 1-0 victory over Pennsylvania (6-5-1, 2-2-0 Ivy) at Stevenson Field on Sunday afternoon.

With just under 11 minutes remaining in the match, sophomore Matt Goldman (Knoxville, TN) picked up a loose ball and exploded down the far sideline before sending a centering pass to Rapp, who drove the ball into the lower right corner of goal. Rapp, who returned to action on Sunday after missing five games due to injury, tallied his fifth goal of the year to take over the team lead in points with 11.

Freshman goalkeeper Chris Gomez (Bellflower, CA), who made a brilliant save to seal the victory with just five seconds remaining, earned his third career shutout for Brown. Overall, Gomez made 3 saves on the afternoon to pick up the victory.

The Bears improved their overall record to 4-6-2 and 2-1-1 in the Ivy League. Brown returns to action on Wednesday, October 31, when the Eagles of Boston College travel to Stevenson Field for a 7:00 p.m. game.
