The Brown men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season with a convincing 4-1 victory over the Hofstra University Pride on Tuesday night at Stevenson Field.
Senior forward Adrian Rapp (Sausalito, CA) blasted home a goal at 21:02 of the first half to get the scoring going for the Bears. Sophomore Adom Crew (Columbia, MD) broke free for another goal just before halftime at 41:54 to give Brown a 2-0 lead heading into the second half.
Rapp found the back of the net for his second goal of the night eight minutes into the second half with a diving header on a long cross from Crew. Sophomore Edward Thurston (Washington, D.C.) picked up an assist on the play.
The fourth goal for the Bears (1-1-0) was delivered by senior captain Adam Buchanan (Chandler, AZ) at 57:30. Crew and sophomore Seth Quidachay-Swan (San Francisco, CA) combined for the assist on an impressive give and go in the right corner.
Hofstra (1-3-1) tallied their lone goal in the final minute when freshman Chris Lefferts scored off a rebound.
