Providence, R.I. – Senior defenders Dylan Remick (Inverness, IL), Eric Robertson (San Antonio, TX) and Ryan McDuff (Plano, TX), along with senior midfielder Thomas McNamara (West Nyack, NY), have been named 2012 New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) All-Stars and were invited to play in the All-Star game held at Harvard at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25.
The 11th ranked Bears, who have recorded 10 shutouts and allowed just eight goals this season, boast a 12-1-3 record and a 4-0-2 mark in Ivy League play. These four senior veterans participated in three consecutive NCAA Tournaments, and captured an Ivy League title in 2011.
Remick, a recent first team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District selection and two-time All-Ivy defender, has competed in 15 games for the Bears this season. He has eight points, with two goals and four assists, and earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Brown Soccer Classic and at the Ocean State Classic, where he garnered Tournament MVP honors.
Co-captains McDuff and Robertson have started all 16 games in 2012. McDuff was recently selected as one of just 10 Senior CLASS finalists for his excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Robertson has tallied two goals, including one game-winner, and earned All-Tournament Team honors at both the Brown Soccer Classic and the Ocean State Classic.
McNamara, the Bears' second-leading scorer with nine points on three goals and three assists, also earned a spot on the Brown Soccer Classic All-Tournament Team. McNamara has one game-winning goal, and has scored on two penalty kicks.
The Bears are back in action against Dartmouth in their final game of the regular season at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. The game will be televised nationally on the Fox Soccer Channel.
