Whalen Earns Ivy League Rookie of the Week; Remick Named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week

Providence, RI- Brown University freshman Tim Whalen (Amston, CT) was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for his game-winning assist against the Harvard Crimson on Saturday evening at Stevenson Field. The honor is his second of the year, as he previously received the award on September 17th.

With the game tied 1-1 after 90 minutes of play at Stevenson Field, Whalen sent a cross over to Dylan Remick (Inverness, IL) who blasted a shot into the net just six minutes into overtime to win the game. The assist was his first of the season as No. 19 Brown improved to 9-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the Ivy League.

The rookie has started in seven of 12 games this season and currently has five points on two goals and an assist.

Remick's golden goal earned him a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week to improve Brown's unbeaten streak to eight games.  Remick has six points on the year on two goals, both game winners, and two assists.

The Bears are back in action at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening against Boston College.
