Men’s Soccer Ranks 22nd in NSCAA Preseason Rankings
Providence, RI- The Brown University men's soccer team has been ranked 22nd in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) preseason poll. Last season, the Bears started the season ranked 11th in the country.
Brown, coming off an Ivy League championship and its second consecutive Sweet 16 appearance at the NCAA Championship, lost eight starters to graduation. However, unanimous first team All-Ivy selection Dylan Remick (Inverness IL), and both Thomas McNamara (West Nyack, NY) and Bobby Belair (Myrtle Beach, SC), who sat out last season due to injury, return to the field to help the Bears remain at the top of the Ivy standings.
The Bears kick off the season on Stevenson Field at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, against Rhode Island during the annual Ocean State Classic.
