Providence, RI- Senior midfielder Nick Elenz-Martin (Encinitas,
CA) and junior defender David Walls (Leeds, England) have recently
been selected to the 2009 NSCAA All-Region Soccer Team.
Elenz-Martin is a First Team selection while Walls earned Third
Elenz-Martin, a three-time All-Ivy soccer player, has also recently been selected to compete in the MLS Combine at Central Broward Regional Park in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. From Jan. 8-12, 2010. This past season, he was named a First Team All-Ivy selection and helped guide the Bears to an 11-3-5 overall record and a second place finish in the Ivy League with a 5-2 record. He scored five goals and dished out four assists this season, as he led the team in scoring. During his four-year career, Elenz-Martin was tallied 37 career points on 14 goals, nine of which were game-winners, and nine assists.
Walls, an Honorable Mention All-Ivy defender, played and started in all of Brown’s 18 games this season. He combined for six points on the year on two goals and two assists, and was a co-captain of the team. He has competed in 52 games in his three years on College Hill, and has scored four goals and tallied seven assists for 15 points.
