Providence, Rhode Island - First-year Brown men's lacrosse coach Lars Tiffany has named one of his former players, Errol Wilson, an assistant coach for the Brown men's lacrosse team.
"Errol is a wonderfully personable and charismatic young man," said Tiffany. "There is so much Errol can offer to the Brown Lacrosse program. Despite this position being his first, Errol proved to me at Stony Brook that he has a keen eye for schemes and personnel. He has the foundational characteristics for developing into a great coach. We are fortunate to have him with us."
"Errol's focus during his first year with Brown Lacrosse will be working with the goal keepers, assisting with the clearing game, managing game day personnel and substitutions, and recruiting."
Wilson played for Tiffany at Stony Brook, graduating in 2006 with a degree in Economics. A four-year goalie for the Seawolves, Wilson earned the team's Most Improved Player Award. He recorded a career high 13 saves in a win over Vermont and 12 saves against Hartford in 2003.
A native of Freeport, New York, who graduated from Freeport High School, Wilson has worked at the Greg Cattrano Goalie Camp and the Kevin Cassese Strong Island Lacrosse Camp. He plans to reside in the Providence, RI area.
