Brown to compete in Stony Brook Fall Lacrosse Classic On Saturday

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University will host the inaugural Seawolves Fall Lacrosse Classic on October 12, 2002 that will feature Army, Brown, Navy, UMass and Stony Brook.
The all-day event will begin at 10 a.m and go to 4 p.m. with simultaneous games being played at Seawolves Field and in Stony Brook's brand-new Seawolves Stadium on the Stony Brook campus. The first-ever fall Division I lacrosse tournament to be held in Suffolk County will also be the first lacrosse event to be held at the 8,136-seat Seawolves Stadium.
Suggested donation for admission is five dollars per person. All proceeds from the Seawolves Fall Lacrosse Classic will benefit the Jon Ryan Family Fund. Ryan is a former Stony Brook lacrosse captain who died in the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
Tickets may be purchased at the gate on the day of the event or at the Stony Brook Sports Complex in person prior to October 12. There will be no advance sales by phone.
Brown, Navy and UMass were ranked in the Top 20 last spring and UMass and Stony Brook went on to qualify for the 2001 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
