Faello, Gentilesco and Madeira Earn All-Ivy Lacrosse Honors

Providence, RI - Brown University seniors James Faello (Manhasset, NY) and Nicholas Gentilesco (Setauket, NY), along with junior David Madeira (Norwich, VT), have been named to the 2006 All-Ivy Men's Lacrosse Team, earning honorable mention All-Ivy honors.

Gentilesco's 12.17 saves per game in Ivy games was number one among Ivy League goalies. He was named the Ivy League Player of the Week after a sensational outing vs. sixth-ranked Princeton where he posted 15 saves, including four in the third quarter to keep the Tigers scoreless. He also turned aside 15 shots against third ranked Cornell.

Madeira was Brown's top goal scorer with 21 for the season, leading the Bears attack. He scored a season high four goals against Hartford, three goals against UMass, and two goals against both Penn and Ohio State. His 11 goals in Ivy games ranked eighth in the league (1.83 goals per game).

Faello started all 13 games for the Bears at close defense, and ranked third on the Brown squad with 26 ground balls for the season. He anchored the defensive unit and assigned to cover the opponents top attackman throughout the season.
