#8 Bears Host Penn In Key Ivy Match-up

Providence, Rhode Island - The 8th-ranked Brown men's lacrosse team will put its eight game winning streak on the line on Saturday, April 11, hosting Penn at Stevenson Field, starting at 1:00 p.m.. Brown is coming off a 13-9 win over Yale and has posted a 9-1 overall record, 2-0 in the Ivy League. The Quakers dropped a heartbreaking 10-9 overtime decision to Princeton Tuesday evening to fall to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the Ivy League.

About Brown (9-1, 2-0 Ivy): Junior attackman Thomas Muldoon has scored four goals in each of his last three games. Muldoon has also registered at least one point in Brown's last 29 games, sixth best in the nation. He is poised to enter the Brown Century Club, having compiled 97 career points (74 goals, 23 assists). Muldoon's 74 career goals are 16th best in Brown lacrosse history...Brown's 13-7 come-from-behind win over Yale last week was its eighth straight victory...The Bears have scored 118 goals in 10 games this season after scoring 119 goals all of last season. Brown's 11.8 goals per game in 2009 rank eighth nationally...Junior goalie Jordan Burke leads the Ivy League and ranks seventh nationally in save percentage (.616). His 12.2 saves per game also leads the Ivy League...Sophomore attackman Andrew Feinberg, who has scored seven goals in Brown's last two games, leads the Bears in scoring with 40 points (28 goals, 12 assists). His 4.0 points per game rank fourth in the nation, while his 2.8 goals per game are eighth nationally...Senior Kyle Hollingsworth's 2.1 assists per game rank fifth nationally. Hollingsworth has scored 15 goals and handed out 21 assists for the Bears...Brown's 20 man-up goals leads the Ivy League.

Vote For Jordan Burke For Lowe's Senior Class Award: Senior All-American goalie Jordan Burke was recently named a finalist for the Lowe's Senior Class Award for achievement on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Voting will take place online at www.seniorclassaward.com/athletes/jordan_burke/, and for the first time in the history of the award, fans will also be able to vote via text from March 27 to May 7. About Penn (2-7, 1-4 Ivy): The Quakers are coming off a heartbreaking 10-9 overtime loss to second-ranked Princeton on Tuesday evening at Franklin Field. Senior Drew Collins scored three goals to lead the Quakers, while sophomore Al Kohart's goal with 59 seconds remaining sent the game into overtime...Senior attackman Craig Andrzejewski leads the Quakers in scoring with 23 points (17 goals, 6 assists)... Junior Justin Lynch has captured 115 of 212 face-offs, while picking-up a team leading 62 ground balls...Today's game against the Bears is Penn's last Ivy League game of the season.

Last Year's Game: Brown came away with an 8-3 win over the Quakers at Franklin Field behind Kyle Hollingsworth and Jack Walsh, who scored three goals each, and Jordan Burke, who made 19 saves.

Brown Head Coach Lars Tiffany: Third-year head coach Lars Tiffany is a 1990 Brown graduate and a two-year Brown lacrosse captain under then Brown coach Dom Starsia. He played on two Brown teams that earned NCAA Tournament berths, and played in the North-South Senior All-Star Game. He was named the 2008 New England Coach of the Year after guiding the Brown men's lacrosse team to the Ivy League Championship and returning the program to national prominence.
