Providence, Rhode Island - Brown freshman attackman Andrew Feinberg (Owing Mills, MD) has been named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after helping Brown to wins over 14th-ranked Delaware and Vermont last week. Brown is riding a five game winning streak and the two victories propelled the Bears into the Top 20 (16th) nationally.
Feinberg scored two goals in Brown's 9-6 upset win over Delaware on Saturday. His goal with 2:32 left in the quarter gave Brown the lead for good, 2-1, and ignited a 6-0 Brown run that extended into the fourth quarter. He also added a goal in Tuesday's win over Vermont (11-7), giving him three goals for the week.
The first-year attackman is having a strong season for the Bears and is Brown's second leading goal scorer with 12 goals for the season.
Feinberg and his Brown team will open their Ivy League season on Friday evening against Yale in New Haven, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
