Laxers Toppled By Tigers, 13-4

Princeton, NJ - The Brown men's lacrosse team completed its 2005 season with a 13-4 loss to Princeton Saturday afternoon. The loss drops the Bears to 6-6 overall and 2-4 in the Ivy League, while Princeton finishes with a 5-7 mark, 4-2 in Ivy play.
After an early Princeton goal, senior midfielder Britton Derkac tied the game, 1-1, on a pass from Alex Buckley with 11:29 left in the first quarter.
The Tigers scored the next four goals, extending their lead to 5-1 with 2:35 left in the quarter. Bears' senior Chris Mucciolo stopped the Princeton surge by scoring on a pass from junior Kyle Wailes with 56 seconds left in the quarter.
Following a scoreless second quarter, the Tigers scored the first three goals of the second half to take control of the game, 8-2.
Overall, the Bears were led by Mucciolo, who scored two goals. Senior Kirk Teatom also added a goal for the Bears and captured 6 of 10 face-offs. Junior goalie Nick Gentilesco played the first 15 minutes, making one save, while sophomore Chandler Clarke made seven saves in 45 minutes of play.
