The Brown men's lacrosse team fell behind by an early 5-0 deficit and dropped a 12-6 Ivy League decision to Harvard. The Bears are now 2-7 overall, 0-2 Ivy, while the Crimson are now 4-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.
Harvard scored the first two goals of the first quarter and the first three goals of the second quarter to grab a 5-0 lead on a goal by Matt Wich with 9:45 remaining in the half. The Bears battled back on goals by senior Jon Thompson and junior Brian Miller to cut the Crimson lead to 5-2. The Crimson answered with two straight goals to take control of the game.
Miller led the Bears with two goals, while Thompson added a goal and two assists. Sophomore Chazz Woodson, sophomore Chris Mucciolo and senior Matt Winkler netted one goal each for Brown.
Junior All-American Mike Levin registered 13 saves in goal for the Bears.
Brown will be back in action on Sunday, April 13 for a home game against Penn. Game time is 12:00 noon at Stevenson Field.
