#11 Brown Laxers Power Past Delaware, 13-5

Providence, Rhode Island - Junior attackman Thomas Muldoon scored four goals to lead 11th-ranked Brown to its sixth straight win, a 13-5 victory over Delaware at Meister-Kavan Field. The Bears lead by as many as 10 goals, 13-3, late in the fourth quarter. The victory lifts Brown's record to 7-1 overall, while Delaware falls to 3-7.

Brown led from start to finish, opening a 3-0 first quarter lead on goals by junior defenseman Jake Hardy, sophomore Andrew Feinberg and senior Reade Seligmann. The Bears extended their lead to 4-0 early in the second quarter on Muldoon's first goal on a feed from Brady Williams.

Delaware got on the scoreboard when Martin Cahill scored with 9:12 left in the second quarter to cut Brown's lead to 4-1. Senior Nick Bell answered for the Bears before the Blue Hens' Mark Steverson scored to trail, 5-2.

Consecutive goals by Feinberg, Muldoon and senior Kyle Hollingsworth enabled the Bears to take a commanding 8-2 lead before a late goal by Delaware's Kevin Kaminski cut Brown's halftime lead to 8-3.

The third quarter was all Brown with Muldoon scoring his third and fourth goals of the game, with Williams adding a goal to extend Brown's lead to 11-3 lead after three quarters.

Senior Jack Walsh and sophomore Jeff Foote scored Brown's first two goals of the fourth quarter to open a 13-3 Brown lead with 7"41 remaining. Late Delaware goals by Carter Bloor and Curtis Dickson accounted for the final score.

Muldoon's four goals extended his consecutive game scoring streak to 28 games, registering 55 goals and 18 assists dating back two years. Feinberg had two goals and an assist for the Bears, while Seligmann and Hollingsworth added three assists each to go with their goals.

Bears' senior All-American goalie Jordan Burke was brilliant in goal for the Bears, making 11 saves, including seven in a scoreless third quarter, while allowing just three goals. Noah Fosser made 13 saves for the Blue Hens.

The Bears will be back in action again on Tuesday, March 31, traveling to North Smithfield, Rhode Island, to play Bryant for the first time ever. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
