Men's Lacrosse Falls To Fairfield, 9-8

The Brown men's lacrosse team dropped its first game of the season, falling to the Fairfield Stags, 9-8, in windy and cold conditions in Fairfield, CT. Junior Chas Gessner led the Bears with three goals and one assist, while junior Jon Thompson netted two goals.

Gessner's goal with 1:29 remaining tied the game, 8-8. Fairfield's Tom Werney scored the game winner with just 47 seconds left to play.
