Men's Lacrosse Holds Off Vermont, 9-8

Saratoga, New York - Junior Chazz Woodson, senior Charlie Towers and freshman David Medeira scored two goals each to lead the Brown men's lacrosse team to a 9-8 victory over Vermont in a game played at Skidmore College. The win lifts the Bears to a 2-0 mark to open the season.
The Bears seemed to be in total control of the game, dominating the Catamounts en route to a 7-1 halftime lead. Woodson had both of his goals to lead the Bears in the half.
Vermont cut the Bears advantage to 9-5 after three quarters, with Madeira and freshman Will Davis scoring goals. The Catamounts outscored the Bears 3-0 in the final quarter, but Brown held on for the victory.
Also scoring goals for the Bears was junior Chris Mucciolo and senior Rich Tuohey. Kyle Wailes had two assists, while Will McGettigan added one assist. Senior All-American Mike Levin made six saves in goal for the Bears.
