Brown Laxers Earn Post-Season Recognition

Providence, R.I. - Brown senior attackman Sam Hurster (St. Louis, MO) has been named a 2014 USILA Scholar All-American and sophomore midfielder Brendan Caputo (Westbury, NY) has been selected second team All-New England.

Hurster, who was also a NEILA All-Academic selection, ranked second on the Brown team in scoring with 33 points, netting 26 goals and handing out seven assists.  His 84 career goals rank 15th all-time at Brown. An Economics concentrator, Hurster scored a career high six goals in wins over Hartford and Marist.

 An All-Ivy selection, Caputo finished as Brown's fourth leading scorer with 27 points, scoring 15 goals and handing out 12 assists. A Math concentrator, he netted two goals in games against Hobart, Harvard, Providence, Princeton and Yale.
